We all had a great time on Thursday when we were visited by Mark and Jon . They presented lots of information about space and the planets in a fun way! We loved the raps!
We continue to study the weather - and in music we have been composing storm music with Miss Heulin. We also went outdoors to see how we could make music in the outside environment - and came up with some innovative ideas - drumming on an upside down plant pot, tapping the metal fence, jumping on the gravel.....
Da iawn Keira-Paige Price for winning seren yr wythnos last week - and Ffion Harris this week! Lots of you are trying very hard at everything at the moment - and so enthusiastic!
Croeso!

Seren yr wythnos
Well done Abigail Hann, our seren yr wythnos. She has suddenly discovered she loves maths and has been heard this week to be asking for "more maths" especially money activities! Da iawn Abigail!
We have had a full week again this week with Miss Heulin, our PGCE student bringing lots of new ideas to the classroom. Exciting times!

Another highlight this week was Josie Bennett in the role play corner pretending to be Sian Lloyd! Go Josie!

Blwyddyn Newydd dda!
What a busy first week! we started our theme of "Sut mae'r tywydd?" with lots of work to do with snow! We are looking forward to putting up our snow display , planned by the children, this week. We will also be setting up our class role play - our weather station - where we will be studying and recording the weather every day - including finding out the temperature and later on, measuring the rainfall and noticing the wind! Also - a section of the role play corner will be a television studio, where we will practise giving a weather forecast report! Don't forget to have a look to see if you have any items we could use in our role play corner as outlined in the parents letter....diolch yn fawr!
Homework tasks will start again this week ....I know the children can't wait!

Da iawn ! Ardderchog! Bendigedig!
What a fabulous end to a fabulous week.....First of all - a great big well done to all of you for a wonderful concert performance - I was so proud of you all.....Well done for booming voices, and confident singing.......also for all of you who stepped in to take the parts of children who were ill. Diolch yn fawr to you parents for super alien costumes- and for all who helped dress/ undress- your help was appreciated!
You all thoroughly deserved the huge treat we had today with our special trip organised by Mr Jerry Lockett! Diolch yn FAWR! We visited the Doctor Who exhibition, walked around the bay, played in the playground, visited the Coal Exchange and picnicked there, then visited Penarth marina, watched some boats go through the lock, walked briskly over the barrage and back! Parents - I'm sure your children will all be "wedi blino" tonight!
Let's hope we will all be in school next week to enjoy some well deserved Christmas fun ....
